Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
...was banned from the german Wiki because he only advertised his personal "holy war" angainst a reform of the rules for writing in german language. When he was asked to stop this he became very very impolite and did very nasty things. User:MutterErde was also banned for trolling around (still I like her, because she has a good sense of humor).
My advice would be to leave them alone, you won´t find any useful work done by the first and a strage affection for porno starlets in the second. de:Benutzer:Dickbauch 195.37.188.216 11:54, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Diktat
[edit]Ciao Snow. The Lone Rangerwrite-me 13:02, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- Snow. non so cosa dirti.
The Lone Rangerwrite-me 14:29, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Oscuramento
Ciao ps lasciami un messaggio su theloneranger@libero.it The Lone RangerSend an S.O.S to the world
Sgunt??
[edit]Snowdog. non comprendo il tuo messaggio. Comportarmi come? The Lone RangerSend an S.O.S to the world 17:21, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Sgrunt
[edit]Si riferisce a me.
[edit]So I did some research and checked with some pretty credible sources as to what they print, in ENGLISH, for the name of this region (and province) in Italy.
- Fodor's - a well recognized and respected name (and expert guide) has regional and local publications that show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bolzano".
- Michelin - also expert in travel guides - has regional and local publications that show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bozen".
- Rand McNally (name speaks for itself) has world, regional, and local publications that show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bolzano".
- Streetwise Map's regional, and local publications show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bolzano".
- Dorling Kindersley or "DK" - by far, probably the best travel guides available - has regional and local publications that show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bolzano".
- Lonely Planet (the self-proclaimed largest independently-owned travel guide) regional, and local publications show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bolzano".
- Hammond Map - a subsidiary of Langenscheidt Publishing Group (a privately-held German publishing company) - has regional and local publications that show the region and local names of "Trentino-Alto Adige", "Alto Adige", and "Bolzano".
As far as proof, I am quite sure that the above sources are credible enough, especially in the sense of geographical knowledge, expertise, and English-translation. Rarelibra 04:01, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
I told you this because a long time ago you voted against changing the name of the page back to the proper name. I am informing everyone who voted no. Rarelibra 00:38, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Defamatory material
[edit]Wikipedia is a wiki, which means anyone can edit it, and I am astonished you think someone should need permission to remove defamatory material about themselves from any Wikipedia page. Jayjg (talk) 00:57, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Motivo
--Mariogab 23:47, 15 gen 2008- rivolto a me da altro utente!!!! Amichevoli saluti.--PIO (talk) 17:19, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

- We need to make a request to an Admin. But I am sure that they will get tired of it soon, no doubt it is all the same person playing. It only takes a second to revert. FFMG (talk) 10:08, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Sandro Mazzinghi (1962).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Sandro Mazzinghi (1962).jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add

, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ΔT The only constant 02:30, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
